What Are Pre Engineered Buildings?
Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB) are the buildings that are engineered at a factory and assembled at site. Usually, PEBs are steel structures. Built-up sections are fabricated at the factory to the precise size, transported to site and assembled at site with bolted connections. This type of Structural Concept is usually wont to build Industrial Buildings, Metro Stations, Warehouses, etc.
The adaptability of PEB within the place of the traditional Steel Building design concept resulted in many advantages, including economy & easier fabrication. These sorts of building structures are often finished internally to serve many functions that really help in low rise building design. Pre-Engineered Buildings represent warehouses, Canopies, Factories, Bridges, etc.
Components of PEB
Pre Engineered Buildings contains different steel support which is as follows,
Primary structural Frame: Primary Steel structural framing of a PEB is an assembly of built-up I-shaped steel members & that framing consists of trusses or castellated beams etc.
Secondary Structural Elements: it's actually Cold-Formed Members, which may be in diff. shapes like “Z”, “C” etc. In general known as “Purlins”.
Roof & Wall Panels: Tin shades & Curtain Wall made from Glass & Roll-formed steel sheets usually comes during this category, S
Sandwich Panels: Sandwich Panel is formed of three layers, during which a non-aluminum Core is inserted b/w two aluminum sheet.
Other Accessories: Mezzanine floors, Bolts, Insulation, etc.
